Effective 5 November 2026 · Bharat Truck Simulator (bharattrucksimulator.com), made by Gyan Pratap Singh, India · Contact: support@bharattrucksimulator.com

The short version

  • No accounts, no ads, no payments. We don't sell or rent anyone's data, and we don't build profiles.
  • Your camera, motion sensors, controllers and settings are used on your own device. Camera video never leaves it.
  • A few features send small, rough pieces of information to our server or to a named service (weather, YouTube search, online play). Each one is listed below.
  • Online play is on by default. Other players see the nickname you choose and your truck, and their browsers can see your IP address because the game connects players directly (peer to peer). You can switch online play off in the pause menu.

1. Who we are

Bharat Truck Simulator is a free browser game (also packaged as an app) made and run by Gyan Pratap Singh in India. In this policy “we” means him. The game and its small server run on Cloudflare.

2. What stays on your device

Settings and progress

Your choices (sound, language, switches, the songs you saved in “Meri list”, your online nickname, your steering-wheel setup and so on) are kept in your browser's local storage under names starting with chairdrive.. They never leave your device except where a feature below says so. Clearing the site's data in your browser removes them. The game sets no cookies of its own.

Camera (Lean to drive, the mirror's face)

If you switch on “Lean to drive” or “Mirror mein apna chehra”, the game asks for your camera. The video is processed on your device by Google's MediaPipe library, which we host on our own server, so no camera images go to Google or to us. Lean to drive turns your face into a single “how far you lean” number; on a chair-mode phone that one number is sent to your own computer over the direct link between them. The camera light goes off when you turn the feature off.

Motion sensors, touch and controllers

Tilt steering, the phone-as-wheel page, chair mode and the passenger view read your phone's motion sensors on the device. Steering wheels and gamepads (the browser's Gamepad API, and WebHID for force feedback) are read on the device too. When your phone is the wheel, only its steering and button input travels, directly to your own computer.

Microphone

The microphone is used only for voice chat (section 4), only after you switch it on yourself.

3. What reaches our server, and why

Our server is a Cloudflare Worker at bharattrucksimulator.com. Like every website, it receives your IP address and basic browser details with each request; Cloudflare uses them to deliver the site and protect it from abuse (for example, our per-IP rate limits).

Your rough region (/api/geo)

To pick the driver's language automatically, and as a fallback for “Meri jagah” when your browser's location is blocked, the game asks our server where Cloudflare thinks your IP address is. The reply is your country, state code, a city name and a rough point (rounded to about 1 km). Our server does not store it. Your browser keeps the country and state for 7 days to avoid asking again.

Your location (Meri jagah)

Only if you choose “📍 Meri jagah” (start from where you are) does the game ask your browser for your location. The fix is kept only in your browser, for up to 30 days, and used to choose your starting road. It is not sent to our server. What does leave your device is coarse:

Live weather (/api/weather)

With weather set to “Asli” (live), the game sends our server the position of your drive in the game rounded to 0.1° (about 11 km). Our server asks Open-Meteo for the weather and its air-quality service (Copernicus CAMS data) for that cell only, and caches the answer at Cloudflare's edge for 15 minutes so many players in one area share one request. Nothing about you is sent or stored.

Radio search (/api/yt/search and /api/yt/info)

When you search for a song or paste a YouTube link, the search words or video id go to our server, which asks Google's YouTube Data API (or YouTube's oEmbed service) and returns the results. Google sees the request from our server, not from you. Answers are cached at Cloudflare's edge (searches 24 hours, video details 7 days), keyed by the search text. Songs you save stay in your browser.

The radio uses YouTube API Services. By using the radio you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

Phone as wheel and passengers (pairing)

To link your phone to your computer (as a steering wheel, or as a passenger's view), the two devices swap short connection descriptions (WebRTC “SDP”, which include network addresses) through our server under a random one-time code. The code and what it carries are deleted as soon as the devices have connected, and in any case within 5 minutes. After that the devices talk directly.

Online play (Milkar chalo)

Online play is on by default; switch it off under 🌐 Online in the pause menu. While you are online, our multiplayer lobby holds your connection and puts you in a room of up to 8 players. It keeps, for the life of the room, each player's nickname, colour, game version, position on the game's road and distance driven, and the room's shared world (its seed, starting road and region). It also passes the connection details (SDP) between room mates so their browsers can connect directly, without storing them. When the last player leaves, the room is deleted. See section 4 for what other players see.

Player reports and blocks

If you report another player, our server stores the reported player's nickname, the reason you picked, the time, and an anonymous key for each device involved (a one-way hash, not your IP address or anything that names you). Reports are kept for 90 days, then deleted. They are used only to deal with abuse, for example by dropping a reported player from matchmaking.

Crash reports

If the game breaks, it may send an anonymous error report: the error message and where in the code it happened, with basic technical details such as the browser and game version. Reports never include your location, nickname, voice, camera or anything you typed. We do not store them: each one is written once to our hosting provider's (Cloudflare's) server log, which keeps it for a few days, and it is used only to fix bugs. The page address is sent without anything after a “?” or “#”.

Server logs

Cloudflare's Workers Logs are switched on for our server. For requests our code handles (the pages and /api/ calls), Cloudflare may record details such as the address requested, the time, the response and request metadata (which can include your IP address and approximate location). We use these logs only to find faults. Cloudflare keeps them for a short period (days, not months).

Visit counts

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and no fingerprinting and doesn't identify you. We see totals such as page views, countries and browser types.

4. Other players and direct connections

When you play online, your browser connects directly to the other players' browsers (WebRTC, peer to peer). That is how trucks, horn, lights and voice reach each other with little delay. Because of this:

5. Other services involved

Map data comes from OpenStreetMap, but it is prepared in advance and served from our own storage; your game does not contact OpenStreetMap.

7. Who the game is for

The game is meant for adults (18+). It has strong language and violent crashes with blood. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect any information from children. A Clean mode switch in the pause menu turns off the blood and the swearing.

8. Your choices and rights

9. Security

All traffic to our server uses HTTPS. Direct connections between players and devices are encrypted by WebRTC. Pairing codes are random 128-bit values that expire within 5 minutes.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. If a change matters (for example, a new kind of data), we will also mention it in the game.
