# Dilli shehar — Delhi city data

`index.json` and the bake it names (`tiles/*.json` + `graph/*.json`, served from Cloudflare R2 at
`/assets/cities/delhi/b/<bake>/…`) are a **derived database** of OpenStreetMap data:
road graph, traffic signals, building footprints, parks / water / land use and the
names in them.

- Source: Geofabrik's OpenStreetMap extracts of India's northern zone (Delhi, Haryana)
  and central zone (Uttar Pradesh — Noida) (download.geofabrik.de, ODbL), cut to Delhi NCT +
  Noida + Gurugram with osmium-tool, data as of the `osmDate` in `index.json`; earlier bakes
  used the BBBike NewDelhi extract (download.bbbike.org, ODbL); or the Overpass API with `--overpass`.
- Heights: AWS Terrain Tiles (terrarium, Mapzen / SRTM-derived, public domain).
- Baked by `npm run osm:city -- delhi` (`scripts/osm/bake-city.mjs`, definitions in
  `scripts/osm/cities.json`), uploaded by `npm run city:upload -- delhi`. Real names only from
  the data, filtered by the `src/game/routeFile.js` blocklist (no fuel brands, oil companies
  or operators).
- Building heights without a `height` / `building:levels` tag, deck heights, ramps,
  piers, fill buildings, trees, street lights, the city's outer fence and collision boxes
  are our own estimates, not OpenStreetMap data.
